About

I write from the kitchen, my bedroom, and the in-between.

Mostly about food, work, trying again, and the strange optimism required to keep going.

Diaries of a Tattered Apron is my own little dug-out for keeping notes on building something small and meaningful, often while covered in flour, surrounded by half-finished ideas, and questioning my sanity and strategy.

Some days it looks like cooking.
Some days it looks like filming.
Some days it looks like getting tangled in my dirty laundry.

All of it is real. None of it is particularly tidy.

This is Teo. He’s small, loud, frequently cranky, and has no interest in personal growth.

YouTube Diaries

I document the process of trying to build a creative life in real time. Cooking, talking, tumbling backwards, pulling it back together. No hacks. No filters. Just the middle. If you’re looking for curated homemaking, this isn’t it. If you’re interested in a woman on a mission, frequently stalled, you’re home.

Building Tattered Apron

Alongside the videos and writing, I’m slowly building a small product-based brand. Cookbooks, handmade pieces, and things that mostly exist in the same universe as this diary. It’s part creative experiment, part this better work or I’m back to shift work.

Trying, Again

I’m also in a season of attempting to fall pregnant, at 45 and single, while still working, creating, and pretending I’m not aware of the clock. It’s not the whole story here. Just one of the louder ones.

With all the above said....

After years of circling these ideas, I’ve given myself a final two years to see what I can build with focus, humour, and fewer apologies.

This space is both the record and the attempt.
If something grows from it, wonderful.
If not, at least it was honest.
